November 10th “Tribute Dive for ATA”
As part of the November 10th Atatürk Memorial Day events, an underwater tribute dive was organized in front of Dolmabahçe Palace with the participation of students trained at our university and actively involved in the SCUBA Diving Club, accompanied by our diving instructors from the Underwater Technology Program. The event was coordinated by the “Respect for the Depths Diving Community” and included participation from our university, the Turkish Divers Sports Club, Marmara Underwater Center, DAK/SAR, and numerous volunteers.
Institutions such as the Istanbul Governorship, Istanbul Police Department, Coast Guard Command, Beşiktaş District Governorship, Istanbul Marine Police, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Zoning Department, Dolmabahçe Palace Administration, and Istanbul Port Authority supported the event.
Approximately 45 divers surfaced at 09:05 in front of Dolmabahçe Palace, unveiling banners and placards prepared in honor of November 10th, expressing their respect for Atatürk. Through this diving event, our university, known for its maritime focus, once again demonstrated its commitment to moral values and its enduring admiration for Atatürk.
